Learning more about Blogging from a phone and General muttering of the IT incompetent author.

Testing pictures. I worked out how to get to my store of photos on my phone the other day through wordpress. I even managed to get a picture on a blog and thought that I’d made a major step forward, so tried again with another picture and it didn’t work. Too large to be uploaded it said. Which is a shame! How do I make them smaller? How much smaller do they need to be? Lower the quality? Can you do that after the picture has been taken? Is it only my phone that can’t upload, or the WordPress program generally?

I’m fairly sure the picture I uploaded the other day was a screenshot. Presumably these are smaller in data than other pictures? Let’s try again. Yep screenshots seem to work but that is going to be very restrictive.🤔😬

Also comments on my blogs that are basically adverts, What’s that all about? In a way this is a good thing because it means my blogs are visible. But I would like them to be visible to people who are actually interested in what I’m talking about. Not just piggy backers who want to sell something. And amazingly NO I don’t to subscibe to Audible, and if I did I’d just do it, not wait to be invited by some surreptitious method. How does Amazon achieve this? Do they have teams of people whose jobs are to sit around and find blogs to attach comments to? I think that would be a nice job if you were allowed to read the blog first but I bet they’re not. I expect they’re on tight time schedules that don’t even allow them to go to the loo.
