Stolid has had some nice reviews and I was really quite proud of it. But just been listening to the Virtual Voice version and now I am not so sure.
I mostly wrote Stolid when I was very young and although I was trying to give the impression of a man who was losing his mind, I might have gone too far.
I love Stolid (the story) though because he roams in the haunts of my youth which bring a lot of pleasure to me. I was trying to add some pictures here but I’ve forgotten how to do it so you’ll have to imagine (or read the book – lots of descriptions there.
I might have managed it the pictures🙃. Not sure how!
I wanted to explain how Stolid is a mixture of things and places from my past with things I would have liked to happen and things that had to happen to fit in with the overarching Wheel of Eight series.
It is very precious to me, even though it might go over the top in places – especially as the madness gets more extreme.
