I don’t know what’s happened recently to my posts. I’ve posted and nothing has appeared. My reluctant computer adviser told me it was because my theme was out of date so I changed it, I think.
This may be the start of me talking more and I wanted to talk on the subject of AI. I have recently used Amazon Virtual Voice to provide an audio version of my books (so MY words read by a computer) and actually I’ve been really enjoying my books this way – as one of the only person in Europe to have access to them. To Herai, Damon Ich, Stolid and Rael. I hope this is soon developed across Europe and in #Audible. Pronunciation can be dire but I know the books well enough to understand odd incidences of weirdness. But I feel very strongly that AI should not be used to write books because I believe that writing displays human dreams and although it may be interesting in the future, if we make it, to see what computers dream of what really interests us is what other humans dream of – even if we don’t agree with their dreams.
