The Sea

The sea is important to me.

I love the way it changes its face every second of every day.

I love the way it exists – oblivious to the turmoil around it.

I am happy to admire the sea from the land. A distant, remote admirer. Of no use to the sea, but no threat either.

I fell late in life, to this attraction. Thirty five years went by knowing the sea only as something to visit, something that existed in books and dreams and for other people. So it was no surprise that I created a world without a sea.
